The main objective in Vietnam is to improve the quality of people’s lives, fostering talent, nurturing and training quality human resources. They are trying their best to overhaul their higher education system. There are 163 accredited universities, including institutes, and colleges. Out of these, 50 are non-public. The number of foreign universities keeps on increasing geometrically. About 43.4% of the population is in the higher institutions presently. 26.6% are unemployed, 10.4% lacked the basic working skills, experience and professional expertise. Most of the university certificates from Vietnam are not recognized in the world, this has continually reduced the number of international students to less than 2,000.
