The tertiary education in this country is hanging on a thread, going down slowly, and might crash if something is not done urgently. Annually, more than 50,000 students graduate from secondary schools, and out of this group only 21,000 of them find their ways in the universities. About 11% of her population is in the university. At the moment, Uganda has 12 public universities, and 20 private universities plus more than 15 institutes and technical colleges. Education given here tends to be of poor quality. Also, there are over 5000 foreign students. Graduates both citizens and non-citizens are permitted by law to look for jobs.
