The University of Amsterdam (Universiteit van Amsterdam), or UvA, is located in the city of Amsterdam. It is the largest university in the Netherlands in terms of enrollment, has the second-largest endowment, and is the third-oldest university.
There are seven faculties, consisting of Medicine, Dentistry, Law, Science, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Business and Humanities. 10 postgrad programs are offered, along with 133 masters and 59 bachelors. Many courses are taught in English, and several in Dutch. The university offers exchange programs with universities in and outside of Europe.
