Education in this beautiful country is supervised by the government of Guyana. It has arms in the country’s ten regions. The education system here was a legacy borrowed from the British Guiana. Higher education in Guyana includes advanced technical schools, teacher training colleges, and university. About 92% of the entire population is literate. In spite of the high number of literacy, some portion of the country suffers from functional literacy problems, resulting in the lack of socio-economic issues and employability.
